SMH ABS System - Lightweight ABS Plastic Airlock System Multi System - Where Strength is main concern. 

Manufactured from 3.5mm ABS Plastic, the ABS Airlock is the lightest and quickest airlock or shower system to construct, taking just 20 minutes with 2 men.
ABS Plastic is light, each panel weighs just 5Kg, easily handled and transported by one man, and is easily and quickly constructed with 2 men.

Construction
Place the base panels on the floor, add the door panel, 2 side panels and a further door panel and roof, clip together with the ABS Clips and after attaching the shower set the system is ready to use.

Water heating and waste water filtration
Water Heating and filtration is undertaken by the Water Management System the WMS 100, this unit heats the water and on demand pumps it to the shower, the filtered waste water is automatically pumped away down a foul drain. Water Filters need to be replaced daily.

Nowhere to site a Decontamination Unit?

Many contractors have undertaken contracts where it is impossible to site a decontamination unit either because of parking restrictions on site, or that the decon unit has to be sited too far away from the working area.
Some clients actually prefer work to be carried out without transiting as they do not wish their staff or the public to see operatives wearing full face masks on their premises.
A Modular Shower System complying to EH47 is therefore the solution.
Units can be configured for access to the Clean and Dirty ends, from either the sides or at each end .

Transit Tents: Single and Triple Airlocks

Based on a durable, re-usable aluminium frame and a white polythene 'skin' (175 microns).  The skin is designed to maintain privacy whilst allowing light to penetrate.

The airlock system is erected and dismantled in minutes and can be performed by a single man on his own.

The 'skin' comes with pre-cut internal doorways and door flaps and personnel on site decide where to locate the entry/exit doorways.

Accessories:
Shower Tray: Fits into one section of a standard triple cubicle or into the whole of a single cubicle.
Shower Head: Fits into the single or triple cubicle to allow showering for the removal operatives to minimize contamination.
PVC Carry Bag:  This bag is designed to hold the standard triple frame for easy transport to and from sites

Static Units - Purpose built units on site to meet specific site demands.
Ideal for long-term sites where the Decontamination Unit is permanently sited and does not have to be moved frequently from site to site. The Static Unit therefore is more secure.
The Unit can be built with external steel panels, as weight is generally not a problem, this reduces the risk of vandal damage.
The layout follows the same style as the 150 series towed Decon Units, Clean, Shower & Dirty, but as more space is frequently available, and weight is not a problem, with more men using the Unit static units are generally built with 4 stages, this included a drying room, to towel dry in, leaving the shower water running continuously for the next operative to shower, clean and decontaminate himself in.
The Static Unit can be built for industrial customers requiring a site shower at a specific point where personal undertake dirty or hazardous processes and require to wash clean immediately without carrying waste around the industrial location or site.

Bag Wash/Equipment Shower - Where contractors wash down contaminated asbestos waste bags and equipment Transit Tents

Men leaving the contaminated area enter and leave through an airlock. A Material Shower is used for equipment and asbestos waste bags. Material Showers are typically 2-Stage and of a larger size to accommodate the materials and waste.

Inside the Material Shower the materials leaving the contaminated area are washed down in the first stage of the Material Shower before being moved to the final stage. In the SMH Material Shower a roller shutter door is used to separate the areas. Only one door should be open at a time.

Examples shown, 2m shower unit with 2 or 3 compartments, roller shutters or self closing doors with shower washing facilities. The unit can be easily dismantled and re-assembled on site. Ideal for washing down contaminated bags of waste or dirty equipment.

Water Management Systems  
Water Management System 100 Water Management System 125
Where you have a need to provide on site shower water and pump away wastewater the WMS100 or WMS125 is the solution, these are available in 110V or 230V with tank capacity of 100 or 125 litres.

Simply connect a mains water hose; and when the showerhead is switched on from inside the shower the water will flow. As the water is used the WMS can be set as a single fill or to refill while the water is used.
The heated water is drawn off the top and pumped to the shower; the fresh water enters at the top and is heated to 40 degrees centigrade. A double thermostat protects the water from exceeding this temperature.
The waste is filtered through an integrated double filter system and then passes through the pump therefore keeping the pump free from contaminants and clogging up.

Simple and quick to use the SMH WMS 100/125 is the ideal on-site shower-heating unit.
DFS - Double Filter System
Waste water needs to be removed to filter out asbestos and other water-born contaminants, a double filter is recommended as the first can be a coarse filter and the second a fine filter. Should filters need to be changed and none are available the DFS can still be used for short periods with one filter.
