Negative Pressure Units

The latest range of "Neg Air" units developed for applications, where the removal of hazardous dust and fumes needs to be controlled.

The products have been designed for use in the Asbestos Removal Industry but other typical applications are in the Nuclear and Pharmaceutical Industries where Asbestos, Silica, Dioxins, PCB's and other carcinogens are present.
Designed for use by the most demanding contractor and built from the latest Polypropylene Plastic the units do not rust, are strong and lightweight, typically half the weight of older metal units. They are easily cleaned and can be split apart for ease of carrying upstairs or transporting to and from site.

SMH Negative Pressure Units are designed to conform to HSE PAS60 Specifications:
Part 2 (PAS 60/2): "Negative Pressure Units - Specification." This is similar to Part 1 in that it includes sections on design, instructions, etc but has two annexes on airflow testing and reporting. It should help address the issue of defining airflow capacity.

The units are easy to use and quiet in operation, simply connect the power supply, switch on the motors and adjust the variable speed controller to meet the air filtration requirements.

Utilising the latest filter technology and using readily available industry standard size filters, we have eliminated the need for expensive, non-standard replacements. Available with a choice of 2 or 3 stage filtration using HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Absolute) filter, with 99.997% efficiency. Other filters or combinations are available to specification.

All the filters have been matched with the motors to ensure the optimum airflow and filtration, therefore not exceeding the filter's efficiency.

All the filters have been matched with the motors to ensure the optimum airflow and filtration, therefore not exceeding the filter's capacity.
Units are available in light gray leatherette finish which is attractive and less liable to scratching. The two parts of many SMH NPU's can be separated for use restricted spaces and connected together using flexible ducting and can be positioned inside the contaminated area.

Negative Air Units have carrying handles and are mounted on heavy duty rubber to enable easy movement. All units can pass through a standard doorway. Most units have an On/Off switch, Variable Speed Control, Hour Meter and a colour coded Pressure Gauge showing the filter condition, indicating when the filters need changing. To ensure better electrical safety Residual Current Devices are fitted as standard to 220 volt models and most 110 volt models.
